Engine timings keep the Runtime in memory and exclude GUI latency and index loading. Searching a prebuilt index and scanning files directly use different mechanisms.
AMD EPYC 9V74 · 5 logical CPUs · 5.8 GiB RAM · overlayfs · warm OS page cache. Engine: 5 warmups + 40 measurements; comparison tools: 2 + 7. Such requires index creation and updates. File-change detection latency was not measured.
Linux Fix5 Runtime results. Windows Explorer, Windows Search, the Windows DLL and GUI performance were not measured.
